The most characteristic ornamental items of this building are the collection The three friezes of the Mediterranean on the façade and two other friezes to be found inside.

The collection The three friezes of the Mediterranean consists of:

  • The frieze of the children, overlooking Arcs Streetcs

  • The frieze of the giants, overlooking Nova Square

  • The frieze of the "senyera" overlooking Capellans Street

The interior friezes are:

  • The wall of the Arches, on the side corresponding to Arcs Street

  • The Sardana, on the side corresponding to Capellans Street

The friezes were executed using sand-blasting by the Norwegian artist Carl Nesjar, from a design by Picasso.
